While the Timberline Sharpener keeps your chains sharp our Hemlock 6″ flat file lowers the chain depth gauges or rakers. Filling down these rakers ensures the cutting teeth plunge to the optimum depth for the ideal wood chip size. (see above image) The Hemlock file is a another branch of Timberline Sharpener. Made of hardened steel. Hardness 58-62HRC TPR handle holds the file very securely.
